News Bites – The Third of April 2016
– The Overwatch open beta period kicks off today. Players who have preordered the title can start today with the rest of the world joining in on the 5th of May. This marks the final beta period for the game which has gone through quite a significant amount of public testing. From all reports it has been worth it with the usual Blizzard quality evident to those who have played. The game is getting a full release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on the 24th of May
– Battleborn, the new MOBA/Shooter hybrid from Borderlands creators Gearbox has hit the streets. It has been a long road since announcement but players can finally get their hands on this interesting take on the genre. Stay tuned to Player 2 for our review in the near future.
– Hapless Mighty No 9 backers and fans finally have something to smile about. The oft-delayed game from Keiji Inafune will be hitting retail on the 24th of June in Australia. The game is still being released on last gen systems as well as more current technology. Our very own Paul James is sure to be finally smiling.
– After days of rumours, it has finally been confirmed. The next Call of Duty is called Infinite Warfare and will have an outer space setting. Zero G gun fights, Spaceship levels and more robots than you can poke a stick at seem to be the order of the day. The other big news is that purchasers of the special edition will also be getting a remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It seems, at this stage at least, that this will be the only way to get a copy of this HD update. Both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare HD are hitting consoles and PC on the 4th of November.
