Microsoft Bringing the Christmas Cheer Early

Microsoft Bringing the Christmas Cheer Early

The crazy festive season is almost upon us and Microsoft has brought a couple of things to the public to help celebrate.

The first is that now you can gift digital purchases on the Xbox store. Just like Steam, it is possible to send that loved one a game through the store. It has taken a while to get here but I am glad it is. It is a really great feature that I use quite often on the PC and will make buying Xmas pressies much easier for my Xbox playing members of the family.

The second cool announcement is for Sydneysiders only I’m afraid. The flagship MS store in Sydney will be running a range of events during December to help bring in the Christmas season. These events include holiday-themed Minecraft sessions, creating 3D videos and mixed reality demonstrations.

The events kick off on the 9th of December and will finish on Christmas eve. You can head to the store’s website (Microsoft.com.au/Sydney) to get all the details and schedule. Sounds like the perfect thing to do with the kids leading up to Santa’s big arrival.
