Get Ready for the ONRUSH
I have often lamented the lack of Arcade racers in this day and age. We have countless simulation and serious titles but we are lacking the crazy and over-the-top nature of the racers from yesteryear. Where are the Motorstorms, the Burnouts (new one’s folks, not remakes), the Project Gothams? We have had dodgy failure’s like NFS Payback and budget fare like Flatout 4 but we are missing the highly polished, triple-A arcade racer that used to be such a feature of the gaming landscape. Well, it appears that Codemasters has recognised the void and has the perfect antidote. ONRUSH is coming and it looks to meet all of my arcade racing desires and then some.
Originally announced at E3 last year, ONRUSH is an arcade racer filled with high-speed takedowns, crazy tricks and devastating power-ups. The game includes eight different vehicle classes, all having their own unique abilities and advantages, all battling out over crazy offroad courses. Honestly, it looks like a blast and as it is being developed by one of the premier racing developers on the planet I have high hopes for this one.
ONRUSH is hitting the PS4 and Xbox One on the 5th of June and to celebrate you can check out the brand new trailer below.
