Final Fantasy XVI Is Letting The Dogs Out - For A Great Cause
In what could be one of the best team-ups in video game marketing history, RSPCA NSW is teaming up with Final Fantasy XVI to bring a dog cosplay experience to Sydney, an event that will pay homage to Torgal, the canine companion who accompanies Clive on his adventures throughout the world of Valisthea.
Yes, you heard that right. This cosplay is for the bestest boys and girls only.
Taking place at the Darlo Bar in Sydney on June 17, the event will allow people the chance to dress up their canine companions in costumes based on FFXVI’s Eikons and have the chance to win doggy treats, copies of FFXVI on release and even a FFXVI prize pack and PS5 for the pup that has the best costume and accessories. Attendees will also have the opportunity to go hands-on with FFXVI ahead of the June 22nd release date.
Now they don’t mind if the dog is yours or one borrowed from a friend (with permission of course), as long as the dog is comfortable around other dogs, crowds and playing dress-ups. If you don’t think it would be the best place to bring your dog, or you don’t have a dog you can bring, then the RSPCA will have some of their rescue dogs that are hoping to find their forever home for you to meet.
If you and your pup feel like joining in the celebration of Torgal make sure to register your interest through the Eventbrite page. I’m not sure how many people will be able to attend so my advice would be to do it sooner than later.
