Lorcana Exclusive - Azurite Sea Card Reveal
There’s less than a month to go before Lorcana‘s sixth wave of content, titles Azurite Sea – releases, hitting dedicated Hobby Shops like Vault Games, Good Games on November 11th before a wider release to other stores on the 25th.
Including characters from Treasure Planet and Rescue Rangers, the Azurite Sea wave also brings a renewed focus to Big Hero 6 albeit with a more nautical theme to the character art.
Fortunately, Player2 has been given the opportunity to reveal a card from the Azurite Sea in the lead-up to the official release – Unfortunate Situation.
A Cost 4 Inkable Uncommon Steel card, Unfortunate Situation seems to be primed for more aggresive decks, with the wording especially useful in 3+ player games where it will be more effective in dealing with multiple opponents.
Dealing 4 damage at the cost of 4 Ink feels like a high cost, high reward move if it gets something difficult to otherwise remove out of play, but of course could backfire given the opponent chooses where the damage is dealt, not the person playing the card.
Azurite Sea looks to be a Lorcana set that won’t be making huge waves in terms of gameplay changes but will bring a bright swashbuckling aesthetic to a number of characters including the Aptly named Stitch – Alien Buccaneer and Tigger – In the Crow’s Nest which the above Unfortunate Situation card would pair with nicely given his enhancement when an Action card is played.
After a roaring success at PAX AUS, there’s little doubt Azurite Sea will keep Lorcana on the table over a busy Christmas season alongide plenty of copies of Lorcana Gateway resting at the foot of the tree.
