Who knows, by the time this is published and you’re listening to it everything that there could possibly be to know about what we’ll simply call the ‘Switch 2’ may have been leaked and everyone has already moved on to Microsoft officially announcing some kind of XBox handheld or branded partnership with other handheld gaming PCs. It’s hard to keep pace with the speed of console news right now.
Which is why, perhaps, Tim, Rob and Shaun foolishly decided to try and look into the next decade instead. What will the PS6 (which has already been in the news before the dust even settled over the PS5 Pro sticker-shock) be like? Will XBox continue as we know it? What gaming trends will survive, die, and emerge? Honestly, we don’t know, but it is kind of fun to guess sometimes.
